The Halal Center of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta conducted a coordination visit to Rumah BUMN Batam City and PT Telkom Indonesia Batam Region as part of efforts to strengthen institutional synergy and accelerate the halal certification program at the regional level. The visit took place on 7 August 2025 at Rumah BUMN Batam City.

The visit focused on coordination related to human resources (HR) owned by Rumah BUMN, particularly Telkom Rangers and UMKM Facilitators, who also serve as Halal Product Process Assistants (Pendamping Proses Produk Halal/P3H) from UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. This collaboration plays a strategic role in enhancing assistance for micro and small enterprises in fulfilling halal certification requirements.

In addition, the meeting aimed to strengthen strategic cooperation between the Halal Center of UIN Sunan Kalijaga, Rumah BUMN, and PT Telkom Indonesia to support the acceleration of halal certification through the self-declare scheme in the Batam area for the year 2025.

Through this inter-institutional coordination, it is expected that the halal certification assistance process will become more effective, integrated, and capable of reaching a wider range of micro and small enterprises, thereby contributing to the strengthening of the national halal ecosystem, particularly in the Riau Islands region.
