Halal Center UIN Sunan Kalijaga Achieves International Stage at Thailand Halal Assembly 2024
Bangkok, Thailand – The Halal Center of State Islamic University (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta once again marked an international achievement by participating in theThailand Halal Assembly 2024. The event was held onDecember 19-20, 2024, at the Al-Maroz Hotel, Bangkok, Thailand. Carrying the theme "Toward Halal Trust Through Digital Technology 2AIs," this gathering became an important forum for academics, practitioners, and stakeholders in the global Halal industry to discuss technology-based innovations in building Halal trust in the digital era.
In this event, the Halal Center UIN Sunan Kalijaga contributed a scientific paper in the form of a journal titledHalal Science and Innovation. The research was presented by a team consisting ofGaluh Tri Pambekti, S.E.I., M.E.K., Dr. Diky Faqih Maulana, S.H., M.H., Atika Yahdiyani Ikhsani, M.Sc., and Alya Mafaza. The paper examines the application of digital technology, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), to enhance efficiency, transparency, and accuracy in Halal certification and management.
As managers of the Halal Center UIN Sunan Kalijaga, the three also appeared as presenters, detailing innovative research that contributes to the development of global Halal studies.Dr. Diky Faqih Maulana'sarticle, titled"User Perception Analysis of SiHalal App: A TAM Approach in Indonesia,"discusses the analysis of user perception of the SiHalal application in Indonesia through the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) approach. Meanwhile,Galuh Tri Pambektipresented an article titled"Ensuring Halal Integrity and Food Safety in Sustainable Pesantren-Based SMEs: A Comprehensive HACCP and HGMP Approach,"which highlights efforts to maintain Halal integrity and food safety in pesantren (Islamic boarding school)-based MSMEs.Atika Yahdiyani Ikhsanipresented a paper titled"Application of Protein Isolate from Local Hyacinth Bean (Lablab purpureus) as Halal Binder in Food Product,"exploring the potential of protein isolate from local hyacinth bean as a Halal binder in food products.
The Thailand Halal Assembly 2024 is a global forum that brings together experts from various countries to discuss trends, challenges, and opportunities in the Halal industry. Focusing on the application of digital technology in the Halal industry, the forum aims to drive innovation that can strengthen consumer trust in Halal products worldwide.
