UIN Sunan Kalijaga and BPJPH Sign Strategic Cooperation Agreement at Indonesia International Halal Festival 2025
The commitment of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta to strengthening the national Halal ecosystem was reaffirmed through a strategic collaboration with the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH). The signing of the cooperation agreement was officially held at the prestigiousIndonesia International Halal Festival (INDO-HALALFEST) 2025on Friday (June 20), located in the Plenary Hall of the Jakarta International Convention Center (JICC), Jakarta.
The event was directly attended by the Head of BPJPH, Ministry of Religious Affairs RI,Ahmad Haikal Hasan, accompanied by the Deputy for Partnership and Halal Standardization,Dr. H. Abd. Syakur, S.Ag., M.Si., and the Head of the Halal Center UIN Sunan Kalijaga,Dr. Imelda Fajriati, M.Si.
In her speech, Dr. Imelda emphasized that this collaboration is a tangible step by UIN Sunan Kalijaga in supporting the acceleration of the national Halal certification program. "We are committed to continuously strengthening the contribution of higher education institutions in developing excellent and professional Halal human resources, serving as the main foundation for a sustainable Halal industry in Indonesia," she stated.
The scope of this cooperation includesHalal Human Resource capacity developmentthrough training and certification programs for Halal Supervisors and Halal Auditors. The collaboration will also open opportunities for synergy in research development, innovation, and the expansion of campus-based Halal education.
With this cooperation, the Halal Center UIN Sunan Kalijaga reinforces its strategic role as an academic-based center of Halal excellence, ready to synergize with various parties in boosting the growth of the national Halal industry.
This signing ceremony was part of the INDO-HALALFEST 2025 event series, which brings together various Halal industry stakeholders, ranging from regulators and business actors to academics, to strengthen collaboration and innovation in building the global Halal ecosystem.
