The Halal Center of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta had the opportunity to serve as a resource person in the Training on Halal Label Assistance for Micro and Small Business Actors in Sleman Regency, D.I. Yogyakarta, which was organized by the Sleman Regency Office of Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises.

The event, held at the Atrium Hotel in Sleman, Yogyakarta, featured Atika Yahdiyani Ikhsani, Halal Center Manager and Halal Auditor for LPH UIN Sunan Kalijaga, as a speaker. Also present as resource persons were representatives from the Sleman Regency Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs and PLUT Sleman.

Following this technical guidance, the expectation is that the participants, as MSME actors, will become more aware of the importance of product legality before distribution. This is especially crucial given the growing global spotlight on the Halal industry ecosystem in Indonesia, which aims to ensure local products are not displaced by imports and can successfully scale up.
