Chair of LP3H UIN Sunan Kalijaga Attends National LP3H Working Meeting and Appointed as Member of Commission III

The Chair of the Halal Product Process Assistance Institution (LP3H) of Universitas Islam Negeri (UIN) Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, Dr. Diky Faqih Maulana, M.H., attended the National Working Meeting (Rapat Kerja Nasional/Rakernas) of LP3H across Indonesia, organized by the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency (BPJPH) of the Republic of Indonesia, in Jakarta.

The National Working Meeting was held for three days, from 28 to 30 July 2025, and was attended by approximately 300 LP3H institutions from all regions of Indonesia. This forum served as a strategic national platform to strengthen the role of LP3H as an official partner of BPJPH in accelerating and improving the quality of halal certification assistance services.

The meeting featured a number of experts and practitioners in the field of Halal Product Assurance, representing both regulatory bodies and professional institutions. In addition to policy presentations, participants were actively involved in commission sessions focused on the formulation of national policies related to the governance of LP3H and Halal Product Process Assistants (P3H).

Within these sessions, LP3H representatives contributed to discussions on key policy areas, including P3H training systems, administrative sanction frameworks, and performance reporting and evaluation mechanisms for LP3H and P3H. Notably, UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta was appointed as a member of Commission III, representing LP3H institutions, with a specific mandate to formulate administrative sanction policies for LP3H and P3H.

The National Working Meeting was officially opened by the Head of BPJPH of the Republic of Indonesia and concluded by the Secretary General of BPJPH. Through this event, BPJPH expressed its expectation to strengthen national synergy, enhance the spirit of halal assistance, and improve the overall quality of LP3H and P3H services. Ultimately, these efforts aim to ensure the optimal, effective, and accountable absorption of the Free Halal Certification (Self-Declare Scheme) across Indonesia.
