Halal Technical Guidance Offers New Insights for Business Actors
The Halal Center of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta had the opportunity to serve as a resource person in the Technical Guidance (Bimtek) on Micro Business Licensing for Sleman Regency, D.I. Yogyakarta, organized by the Sleman Regency Office of Cooperatives, Small and Medium Enterprises.
Diky Faqih Maulana, as the resource person, provided new insights regarding product Halal assurance. This included topics ranging from the shift in authority for Halal product assurance organization to the Government, to the benefits and ease for business actors to apply for Halal Certification in the current era.
The event, held at the Prima SR Hotel & Convention, also invited other speakers, including representatives from the DIY Regional Office of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights, the Sleman Regency Health Office, the Yogyakarta Large Center for Drug and Food Control (Balai Besar POM), and the Owner of Super Goat MSME.
Following this technical guidance, the expectation is that the participants, as MSME actors, will become more aware of the importance of product legality before distribution. This is especially crucial given the growing global spotlight on the Halal industry ecosystem in Indonesia, which aims to ensure local products are not displaced by imports and can successfully scale up.
