To start 2024, the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs (Kementerian Koperasi dan UKM) facilitated an in-person PPH (Halal Product Assistance) Facilitator Training at Novotel Pangkalpinang, held from February 16-17, 2024, with 60 participants. The participants consisted of delegates from the Bangka Belitung Provincial Office of Cooperatives and SMEs, MSME activists, and general public members. The resource persons were from the Halal Center Team of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Participants who pass the training will subsequently join the LP3H (Halal Product Assurance Organizing Institute) of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.

This activity was supported by the Bangka Belitung Islands Provincial Office of Cooperatives and SMEs in an effort to successfully achieve 1,000 Halal Certificates in 2024 under the self-declare scheme within the Bangka Belitung Islands Province. The opening ceremony was attended by the Assistant Deputy for Protection and Business Easement for Micro Enterprises of the Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs RI, the Head of the Provincial Office of Cooperatives and SMEs, the Head of the Halal Center UIN Sunan Kalijaga, and the Head of the LP3H UIN Sunan Kalijaga.

The Ministry of Cooperatives and SMEs RI continues to support the acceleration of the Halal mandatory policy, together with the Halal Center UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, which is set to commence on October 17, 2024.
