The Halal Center UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta received an award from the Halal Product Assurance Organizing Agency of the Republic of Indonesia (BPJPH RI) as an institution playing a crucial role in organizing Halal product assurance in Indonesia.

Prof. H. Noorhaidi Hasan, M.A., M. Phil., Ph.D, as the Rector of UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, accepted the BPJPH RI award, which was presented directly byDr. Ir. Haikal Hasal, Head of BPJPH. Furthermore,Dr. Imelda Fajriati, M.Si, Head of the Halal Center, accompanied the Head of BPJPH during the handover of Halal Certificates to business actors assisted by UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta.

Out of 100 business actors who received certificates,70 business actorswith Halal certificates were assisted by UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta, both through the LPH (Halal Examination Institute) and LP3H (Halal Product Process Assistance Institute). The majority of these business actors produce characteristic Yogyakarta foods, including Gudeg and Bakpia.
